Sitting on fences

Its been a while since I last posted.

What got me thinking is Neutrality.

I often hear people say "That's not my problem" or "I don't want to choose between them" when its time to do the right thing.

Maybe it is the smart thing to do sometimes. But I believe when people really have to make a choice, it is often because that choice, is part of the solution.

Which mean, by staying neutral and not contributing to the solution, they become part of the problem.

And it seems, I am not the only one who believe in that.

" Washing one's hands of the conflict between the powerful and the powerless means to side with the powerful, not to be neutral." ~ Paulo Freire

"People who demand neutrality in any situation are usually not neutral but in favor of the status quo." ~ Max Eastman

" If you are neutral in situations of injustice, you have chosen the side of the oppressor. If an elephant has its foot on the tail of a mouse and you say you are neutral, the mouse will not appreciate your neutrality." ~ Bishop Desmond Tutu

Even if its just once. Do the right thing.

PlAnEt EaRtH

In a few days, It will be the EARTH DAY on 22nd of April 2009!

This day is designed to inspire awareness and appreciation for the Earth's environment. It is held annually during both spring in the northern hemisphere and autumn in the southern hemisphere.

So, why not take some time to look at other living creatures sharing planet Earth with us? I found this trailer on Youtube and thought it would be nice to post it here.

This trailer is about the first film in the Disneynature series, EARTH, narrated by JAMES EARL JONES, tells the remarkable story of three animal families of Elephants, Whales and Polar Bears and their amazing journey across the planet we all call home. Earth combines rare action, unimaginable scale and impossible locations by capturing the most intimate moments of our planets wildest and most elusive creatures.
